The Girl Has a Green Thumb After All

I've attacked my garden much earlier than expected this year, thanks to the great weather we've been having. I've enjoyed seeing the campanula, lamb's ears, snow-in-summer, fern, jacob's ladder, archangel, hostas, peonies, and bleeding hearts come up. There are some other things in there that I don't remember the names of, but I know I put them there.
I've already added my favourite annuals (coleus and sun coleus), and I got a perennial daisy for Miranda and a couple of perennial thyme for me.
I decided not to expand the southeast garden bed yet (allowing the newspapers and mulch smother the grass for yet another year), opting to concentrate my efforts in the area under the livingroom window. I've already pushed back the garden bed with plans to secure the border with some tyndall stone (once I get my grubby hands on them!). I've filled in the area with mulch all the way to the border of the garden bed in preparation for a bench we plan to put there. It'll be nice.

There is nothing like getting your hands in the dirt and watching things grow. Seeing the colours, enjoying the changes, and being able to effect your environment ORGANICALLY is so much fun!

Okay, I'm obsessed. I admit it. I can be out there in the garden all day, planting and weeding. I have a very addictive personality, and gardening has become my crack.
