Luc's Haircut

Last Friday, Luc got a haircut at Salon Chez Mommy... yup, I gave him the haircut. He was long overdue for one. He kept getting frustrated with the hair in his eyes, and people kept thinking that he was wearing a wig (seriously). He's got insanely thick hair... not sure who he got that from... Daddy and Mommy both have insanely thick hair. He got the waves from Daddy though... my hair is annoyingly straight. Anyway, I digress. Now, at this point, Luc started to get bored. The novelty wore off and he got more and more squirmy... not surprising as he is 3.5 years old, but it did make the haircut even longer and more challenging. He got hungry so he started to eat the popcorn from the nearby bowl on the counter:


He ate all the popcorn so he started eating an apple from the other bowl on the counter:

Then, disaster struck. Just as I was snipping the last few stray hairs around his ear, he squirmed and I cut the top of his ear! He burst into tears. I was mortified. Daddy said he doesn't know who was doing worse, mother or son.


But once again, Luc surprised me with his resilliency. After a quick bath, a little bandaid and a good dose of cuddles, he was as good as new and happy again:


It took Mommy a little longer to feel better though.

He looks good, but there are too many uneven edges. We'll be taking him to Hair Do Zoo next time.
