A Day In The Life...

Here are some pictures that show a little of what we do during the day...

I usually wake up first, and do some work for a couple of hours (on a good day!) until the kids get up. Then I'm often like this (see picture) on the couch until they come fully awake. We watch some TreehouseTV, then have some breakfast.

Meanwhile, the hubby, who stopped working outside the home in May, gets to go back up to sleep for a while longer. He is allowed to do this because he stays up late at night to get HIS stuff done.

Then Daddy comes down and suddenly it's all fun and games! Mommy is forgotten by this time of the day, and I can get some more stuff done.





When we finally decide to do something other than loll around the house in our PJs all day, we start getting the kids dressed and cleaned up, which usually takes a long time.

This is me clipping Mim's long nails. She was running around quite a bit, trying to get away from me. When I finally got her, she realized that Mommy meant business and sat still.





The summer's been really nice this year, so the kids have been spending a lot of time in their sandbox.

I won't bore you with more pictures of the kids watching TV and eating because, well, you've seen a lot of those already, and will likely see more in the future. :)

We sometimes sit out in the front of the house and blow bubbles. They love them. Miranda is often guilty of spilling the bubble water, which really annoys her brother.




At the end of the day, it's toothbrush time. We're very religious about this. We want to avoid a repeat of Luc's dental surgery in March of 2005. Luckily, Miranda cooperates.
